This role supports residential, commercial, and industrial fence installation projects by assisting experienced fence installers with the construction, repair, and maintenance of various fencing systems. You will perform hands-on work in outdoor environments, help prepare job sites, transport materials, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of chain-link, vinyl, wood, aluminum, and ornamental fencing systems.
• Load, unload, transport, and organize fence materials, tools, and equipment.
• Dig fence post holes using hand tools, power augers, and other equipment as directed.
• Set fence posts, mix and pour concrete, and assist with fence assembly.
• Measure and mark fence layouts according to project requirements.
• Carry and position fencing panels, rails, gates, posts, and other materials.
• Use basic hand and power tools safely and correctly.
• Assist with fence repairs and maintenance projects.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site throughout the workday.
• Follow all safety procedures and properly wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Work closely with crew members and supervisors to keep projects on schedule.
• Perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.

Essential Skills

• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding labor throughout the workday.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Basic experience using hand tools such as tape measures, levels, shovels, hammers, and wrenches.
• Ability to learn and safely operate power tools and installation equipment.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous fencing, construction, landscaping, carpentry, or general labor experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience operating augers, skid steers, or other construction equipment is a plus.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification is a plus.
• Experience reading measurements and using layout tools is beneficial.
• Willingness to learn new skills and advance within the company.

Work Environment

You will work primarily outdoors on residential, commercial, and industrial job sites throughout the region. Daily tasks include lifting materials, digging, setting posts, installing fencing systems, and working with construction tools and equipment. The work is physically active and team-oriented, requiring stamina, reliability, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

This is a Contract position based out of White Hall, WV.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
