About Our Client
Our client is an established, profitable, and fast-growing AI tech company ($30M raised) building agentic AI solutions for hundreds of community banks and credit unions across the U.S. Serving over 10 million end users, their unified AI platform automates voice, digital, and employee-assisted channels. Driven by a mission to democratize financial wellness for every American, they are expanding rapidly while maintaining a cash-flow positive foundation.
Why You Should Join
- Direct Impact & Speed: Work directly alongside the Co-Founders (CEO & CTO) where architectural decisions move from whiteboard to production in weeks, not quarters.
- Massive Growth Potential: Lead core platform architectural standards as the engineering team scales from 30 to 300+.
- Top-of-Market Compensation: Competitive base pay ($260K–$310K), founding-team-tier equity, and fully covered health, dental, and vision insurance.
- Exceptional Culture & Perks: Fully equipped with Claude Enterprise, daily catered meals, and commuter benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead core platform architecture, including multi-modal APIs, real-time event systems, AI orchestration layers, and data infrastructure.
- Architect production-grade agentic and conversational AI workflows (LLM integrations, retrieval pipelines, tool orchestration, and evaluations).
- Translate ambiguous product bets into clear engineering roadmaps and drive technical initiatives.
- Establish engineering standards for service contracts, observability, and reliability across the organization.
- Mentor senior engineers and integrate AI-native workflows (Claude Code, Cursor) across the engineering culture.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: More then 8 years of engineering experience, operating as a Staff Software Engineer
- 0→1 & Scale: Proven track record taking products from 0 to 1 at scale and owning critical domains end-to-end.
- Hands-on Architecture: Exceptional system design capabilities combined with active, daily hands-on coding skills.
- AI-Native Mindset: Daily, deep usage of frontier AI tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude).
- Technical Stack: Strong proficiency in Node.js, Python, and React.
- Education & Location: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field; ability to work on-site 5 days/week in San Francisco.
