Dishwasher PositionKiawah River is a fairly new waterfront community, located on Johns Island, that embraces the Lowcountry sea islands life and is centered on outdoor pursuits with 20 miles of shoreline and 2,000 acres of picturesque land, including multiple working farms, a goat dairy and a Community Support Agriculture (CSA) program. The community vision is to combine residential, retail and hospitality offerings with custom and semi-custom homes featuring high-quality coastal architecture. We are located right off of Betsy Kerrison Parkway, near the River Road intersection and 2.5 miles before you reach the Kiawah-Seabrook roundabout. The commute includes a relaxing and scenic drive past farmland, wildflowers, mossy oaks, and some of our favorite "residents", the Kiawah River Farm's cows, goats, pigs, donkeys, and chickens.The Spring House is the first key amenity in the new Kiawah River community and features two pools, an outdoor spa, pool bar, dining room, event space, and a state-of-the-art fitness facility with locker rooms and saunas— all overlooking the scenic Kiawah River.We are looking for a hardworking and dependable Dishwasher to join our team! The Dishwasher will be responsible, along with all team members, to clean, organize and maintain kitchen equipment including sweeping, mopping and taking out the trash.Work Hours: Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, depending on clubhouse events and peak times.Job ResponsibilitiesPositive and helpful attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced environmentExercise appropriate cautions when working with sharp or hot materialsKeep dish pit clean and organizedDry and put away clean dishes in designated storage areasClean and maintain work areas, utensils, and equipment by means of dishwasher and by handSet up and break down dish machine at start and end of shiftAdhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of cleaning chemicalsWork collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of dishes and utensils for meal serviceClean, sweep, mop, take out garbagePerforms opening, closing and side work as directedSkills & AbilitiesKnowledge of kitchen equipment and utensilsAbility to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasksAbility to lift up to 50 pounds with assistanceFamiliarity with catering and event logisticsAbility to listen and take direction and work as part of a team to assist in various tasks as neededStrong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanlinessMulti-tasking and prioritizingFood safety related decisions – proper chemical handling, rewashing if not cleanExperiencePrevious experience in a kitchen or dishwashing role preferred but not required The Beach
