Ready for a new opportunity? Meyling Marin Farmers Insurance Agency in Riverside, California, is looking for a motivated and personable individual to join our team as a Full-Time Customer Service Sales Representative .

If you enjoy helping people, providing excellent customer service, and feel comfortable talking with clients about ways to save money or improve their insurance coverage, we'd love to meet you.

This isn't a traditional customer service position. Along with providing exceptional service, you'll also be expected to identify opportunities to recommend additional insurance products that genuinely benefit our clients . Cross-selling is an important part of this role and contributes to both your success and the agency's growth. The ideal candidate enjoys helping customers and feels comfortable having those conversations when appropriate.

You don't need insurance experience to be successful in this role. If you've worked in customer service, retail, banking, hospitality, or sales, we'll teach you the insurance side of the business. You'll receive the training and support you need to succeed, plus the opportunity to earn commission on every successful cross-sell.

Note: Completing the Problem Solving and Personality assessments is required as part of the application process. Candidates who complete both assessments will receive priority consideration.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify cross-sell and bundling opportunities with existing monoline clients (approximately 30% of daily workload)
• Offer bundled policies to clients for additional discounts and coverage
• Process customer policy change requests
• Take premium payments from customers
• Secure all Trailing Documents from customers
• Complete Evidence of Insurance requests
• Provide ongoing support to insurance clients as needed

Requirements

• Property and Casualty license required (we'll help you get licensed if you don't have one)
• Prior sales experience in any industry — retail, telecom, real estate, automotive, etc. — strongly preferred; insurance sales experience is a plus, not required
• Comfortable initiating sales conversations and asking for the business
• Ability to build relationships from a cold start
• Strong multi-tasking, follow-through, and follow-up skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent spelling and grammar
• Problem-solving capabilities
• Must complete the Problem Solving and Personality assessments provided during the application process — candidates who complete both will be given priority
