Job Summary:
A registered nurse specializing in Medical Surgical (MS) care is needed for a position in Phoenix, Arizona. This role involves working 12-hour day shifts on a med/surg/telemetry unit, with an expectation to pass a pass/fail exam on the first day of orientation and demonstrate competence in maintaining sterile fields, Foley catheter insertions, central line dressing changes, lifts, restraints, and wound care. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: Phoenix, Arizona
• Schedule: 12-hour days, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, including 4 weekend shifts every 4 weeks and holidays based on unit coverage
• Required Qualifications: Valid license; BLS (AHA) certification; recent med/surg experience; able to pass dysrhythmia exam prior to accepting contract; must have Level 1 Trauma Experience; candidates must have their own vehicle; must have natural hair color and no facial piercings; men must be shaved for fit test.
• Preferred Qualifications: Charge nurse experience; telemetry experience in case they float within the hospital.
• Additional Information: Competent in sterile fields, Foley catheter insertion, central line dressing changes, lifts, restraints, and wound care. The unit is new and may require floating to other med/surg/telemetry units.
