Join Wasatch Behavioral Health as a Part-Time Human Service Worker with our Stride Program in Eagle Mountain, Utah! This onsite position offers a competitive wage of $17.50–$22.17/hour and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children ages 5–12. Stride is an after-school skills development program that provides a safe, structured, and engaging environment for children experiencing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. As a Human Service Worker, you'll help children build confidence, strengthen relationships, develop healthy coping strategies, and learn skills that can help them succeed at home, school, and in their communities.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1:00 PM-7:00 PM
Compensation: $17.50–$22.17 DOE

What You'll Do as a Human Service Worker

• Provide compassionate support and supervision to children participating in the program.
• Facilitate structured activities, skills groups, and daily routines.
• Help children develop social, emotional, behavioral, and coping skills.
• Model positive behavior, communication, boundaries, and healthy coping strategies.
• Assist with crisis intervention and help maintain a safe, structured environment.
• Observe and document client interactions, progress, and behaviors.
• Collaborate with therapists, supervisors, families, and other team members.
• Encourage children as they build confidence, independence, and skills for success at home, school, and in the community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to stay calm, patient, and grounded during challenging situations
• Reliable, team-oriented, and eager to learn
• Experience or education in mental/behavioral health is helpful but not required
• Must pass a background check and meet WBH hiring standards
• Spanish speakers may qualify for a wage increase

Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, motor vehicle record review and criminal background check. After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing. Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment in the position, you must provide an official copy of licensure or certification.
