Occupational Therapist- PRN

Occupational Therapist (OT) - PRNPlans, organizes, and conducts occupational therapy programs to facilitate the development and treatment of injured, ill, or disabled patients through the therapeutic use of everyday activities. Assist patients in developing, recovering, improving, and maintaining the skills needed for daily living and work. Aquatics interest/experience is a plus!Address patient aspects of performance to support engagement in occupations that affect health, well-being, and life quality.Select and adapt the appropriate per-case occupational therapy treatment model, method, and approach to direct the process of interventions.Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL).Teach patients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components.Assess patients' homes and other environments and advise on alterations consistent with their needs and capabilities.Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use.Guide and educate family members and caregivers.Observe, note, and report on the progress of long- and short-term treatment goals.Collect data, and document processes followed.Documents patient care services according to approved medical documentation and facility documentation procedures.Develops a plan for patients following completion of their Plan of Treatment with appropriate in-home care services.Leads by example and exhibits professionalism at all times.Holds themselves accountable and encourages collaboration and flexibility within the department and interdepartmental teamwork for positive outcomes.Join a team where you are proud of the community in which you work.
