CPH is seeking a talented Civil Project Engineer (EIT/junior-level) to join their dynamic and collaborative team in Tampa, FL with a focus on new project delivery! This role is open to EIT level candidates and/or recent graduates positioned for quick receipt of EIT, along with junior‑level candidates with 1+ year of experience supporting civil design. Required skill of highest need will include strong proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D with experience in stormwater and land development. Position Overview Civil Project Engineer is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of engineering projects. This role provides innovative solutions to solve any problems and requires design skills, time management, and experience to perform on a variety of key deliverables. The Project Engineer has a strong understanding of engineering principles to deliver high quality standards to CPH clients. We are seeking a candidate who brings expertise working with clients in the retail sector. Duties Include Lead the design, development, and implementation of engineering solutions for projects. Create and review detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation. Monitor progress of projects and make adjustments as needed to ensure proper completion. Leading design and preparation of plans, specifications, and calculations. Work with senior staff to identify potential project risks and develop modification strategies as needed. Ensure that all aspects of the project’s safety comply with regulations and quality standards. Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, design changes, schedules, and status updates. Communicate project status, risks, and issues to upper management and clients. Required Skills/Abilities Proficiency in AutoCAD is required and the primary requirement for the position. Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and familiarity with Deltek Vision and Smartsheet or similar platforms. ICPR, AutoCAD/Civil3D, WaterCAD, and WaterGEMS experience is a plus. Ability to exercise critical thinking and independent judgment. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to effectively multi-task and work on multiple projects while adhering to project schedules and budgets. Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate project deadlines. Detail oriented, quality conscious, reliable, and self-motivated. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related focus. Entry‑level/recent graduates and/or junior‑level candidates eligible. EIT highly desired and/or ability to quickly acquire post‑start. Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles specific to retail projects.
