Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit serving a diverse patient population including ID, Hospice/Palliative Care, Oncology, Cardiac Acute/Med Care, Post-Surgical, Bariatric, Urology, Neurology, and Orthopedics
• Manage a patient assignment at a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform and interpret telemetry/EKG monitoring as required by the unit
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using EPIC electronic health records
• Float to a sister facility approximately 25 minutes away as needed, which operates at a lower acuity level
• Fulfill weekend coverage requirements, including every other weekend (12 weekend shifts per contract)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Arizona or Compact RN license (must not be expiring within 30 days of start date)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (must not be expiring within 30 days of start date)
• Minimum 1.5 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing experience
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
• Experience managing a 1:6 patient ratio
• Must be willing and able to float to a sister facility; blocked scheduling is not accommodated

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
• Experience with diverse patient populations including oncology, neurology, or palliative care
