Job Description

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience as a Nursing Operating Room Technician (ORT), Certified or Non-Certified Surgical Technologist, or related role in the surgical setting.
• Proficient in preparing and maintaining surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Capability to support a sterile environment and assist surgical staff efficiently.
• Solid understanding of surgical procedures and safety protocols.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons and nurses with procedures by ensuring all equipment and instruments are sterile and readily available.
• Prepare operating rooms before procedures and ensure adherence to infection control standards.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond quickly during cases.
• Manage surgical instruments, supplies, and tissue specimens as directed.
• Maintain accurate counts of instruments and sponges.
• Support post-operative clean up and restocking of supplies for future procedures.
