Schedule: 8-hour shifts
Travel: Up to 100%
Contract: Contract opportunity

Job Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Data Center Services Technician to support installation, maintenance, and operational activities in hyperscale and enterprise data center environments.

This position is a good fit for candidates with experience in data center operations, structured cabling, telecommunications, field services, or Information Technology (IT) infrastructure .

Key Responsibilities

• Install and deploy servers, network devices, storage equipment, and related infrastructure.
• Perform rack-and-stack activities and equipment installation.
• Install, route, terminate, label, and dress copper and fiber cabling.
• Install rack Power Distribution Units (PDUs) and connect equipment to power.
• Perform equipment provisioning and hardware component installation.
• Connect and support Out-of-Band (OOB) management systems.
• Perform continuity testing, fiber verification, and equipment turn-up.
• Perform Moves, Adds, Changes, and Disconnects (MACD) and Field-Replaceable Unit (FRU) replacements.
• Maintain installation records, test results, inventory, and as-built documentation.
• Identify and escalate technical, design, and safety issues.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma, technical certification, vocational training, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year of experience in data centers, structured cabling, telecommunications, field services, or IT infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with racks, servers, networking equipment, and cabling.
• Knowledge of copper and fiber cabling practices.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, installation documents, and Methods of Procedure (MOPs).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Valid state ID or driver's license.
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working on ladders or elevated work platforms.
• Willingness to travel up to 100%.

• Fiber verification and continuity testing.
• Optical networking.
• Equipment turn-up and provisioning.
• MACD activities.
• FRU replacement.
• Out-of-Band (OOB) management.
