Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $2090 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Mary Lanning Healthcare.

Additional Details:

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Preferred experience with chest tubes, pain management, TPN, CBI, and wound care. - Charge nurse experience preferred.

Special Requests: - Block scheduling can be accommodated as much as possible.

Unit Details: - Patient population includes dementia, post-surgical, falls, influenza, pneumonia, failure to thrive, cancer, and COVID patients. - Charge nurses take patients; you may be asked to work charge if you have the experience. - CPAP is used on the unit, with RT managing it. - Telemetry is on the floor, and monitor techs read the monitors.

Shift & Scheduling: - No self-scheduling. - Travelers fill in gaps on the first schedule. - Generally every 3rd weekend, but may be more based on unit need. - Every 3rd holiday; expect to work one of the winter holidays. - No call required. Call is only assigned if you request a scheduled shift off or volunteer to cancel.

Floating Requirements: - Can float to PCU to take MedSurg overflow or very low-acuity PCU patients.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required for submission
