Realty Specialist

Duties
Serve as a technical expert and provide leadership for complex federal and cost-shared real estate acquisition projects.
Lead the identification, planning, and documentation of real estate requirements while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Develop and manage real estate cost estimates, acquisition schedules, and funding requirements, and recommend adjustments to project scope, costs, and resources as needed.
Coordinate real estate activities and requirements with District staff, project teams, federal, state, and local agencies, and cost-sharing sponsors.
Conduct and oversee complex real estate acquisitions, including reviewing appraisals and property information and negotiating with landowners and other interested parties.
Represent the District at public, landowner, and stakeholder meetings, and advise leadership and external parties on real estate policies, requirements, and project-related issues.
Participate in project reviews and planning activities, providing recommendations on acquisition scope, resource needs, and the timing of real estate activities.
