Key Responsibilities of the Anesthesia Technician

• Assist in the care of patients undergoing anesthesia, including preparation of equipment and supplies.
• Operate the cell-saver machine and participate in advanced surgical cases.
• Ensure that anesthesia equipment is in good working order, perform maintenance, and troubleshoot as needed.
• Assist in the development and implementation of in-service training programs.
• Perform set-up and troubleshooting of anesthesia equipment and monitor devices.
• Set-up rooms between cases and provide full service set up at the end of the day.
• Provide backup support to shift supervisor during absences.

Requirements of the Anesthesia Technician

• BLS certification
• Two years of experience as an Anesthesia Tech
