Locum OB/GYN Physician Opportunity

Bon Secours Richmond OB/GYN at St. Mary's invites experienced Locum OB/GYN Physicians (MD/DO) to join a collaborative team. Dates of Coverage:

• May 26, 27, 28 (office only on 5/26 and 24 hour coverage with office on 27 and 28)
• June 2, 3 (office with 24 hour call)
• June 18, 19 (24 hour call with office)
• July 1, 2 (July 1 office only July 2 office and 24 hour call)
• July 15, 16 (24 hr call and office)
• July 30, 31 (office and call)
• August 1, 2 (24 hour call)
• August 4, 5 (24 hour call and office)
• August 12, 13 (8/12 office and 24 hr call/8/13 office only)
• August 18, 19 (office and call)

Coverage Location: Bon Secours Richmond OB GYN St. Marys - 1501 Maple Avenue, Suite 100 -MOB north west, Richmond, VA 23226

Practice Setting: Office and Hospital/call for OB-GYN

Reason for Coverage: Physician out on medical leave

Coverage dates: May through 06/11

Schedule: office hours 8-4 for patient schedule / call hours 24 each day weekday included office schedule as well

Call Schedule: yes thru perfect serve

Call Ratio: 1 in 4

Total Number of Beds: n/a

Average Number of Scheduled Patients Per Day: 25-30

Number of Physicians in Practice: 4 physicians (1 will be on leave) and 5 midwives

How Many APPs Provide Coverage: 5

Number of Exam Rooms: 3 per provider

Onsite Lab: Yes

Onsite Ultrasound: Yes

Describe Office Equipment: usual ob gyn equipment fetal dopplers, colpo, plastic and metal specs, manual BP cuffs

Describe Support Staff: we have one on one clinical staff support per provider (CMA, LPN and RN)

What Percentage of Practice is Low Risk Pregnancy: 90%

What Percentage of Practice is High Risk Pregnancy: 10%

What Percentage of Practice is GYN: 20%

Average Number of GYN Surgeries Per Day (If Applicable): provider preference - 1-4 depending on case time required

What Percentage of Patients are C-Section: 10%

Nursery Level (I, II, III): NICU level III

Documentation System/EMR: EPC

Trauma Level/Designation: Level 2

Required Obstetrics Procedures:

Low Risk Pregnancy (i.e. history of twins, toxemia, pyelonephritis, etc.), FHR interpretation – NST/CST/FSE, OB ultrasounds – performance of interpretation, OB ultrasounds – performance of Level I/screening (viability), seasoned techs completing scans for provider reads

Labor and Delivery Required Procedures:

Routine delivery – vaginal, low forceps, decision-making for C-section, complicated delivery – C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, etc., VBACs, repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations

Gynecology Required Procedures:

Office/minor gynecology – IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc., surgical gynecology – open, laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only – tubal ligation, LOAs, chromal tubation, operative/major (includes diagnostic) – ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOAs
