Our organization is on the lookout for a dynamic and collaborative Medical Director to help shape the future of our innovative crisis intervention facility, the Treatment & Recovery Center (TRC). Located in the greater Kansas City area (specifically Lawrence, KS, home to the University of Kansas Jayhawks!), we serve as the designated community mental health center and certified community behavioral health clinic for Douglas County. The TRC is recognized by stakeholders as a "beacon in the community," offering round-the-clock crisis care, treatment, and recovery services every day of the year.
Position: Medical Director of TRC - Crisis Intervention- Administrative Duties: Approximately 50% or more of the role will be administrative, scheduled Monday through Friday.
- Leadership: You will guide a multidisciplinary team, enhance clinical and operational standards, and act as a prominent advocate for mental health within the community.
- Visionary Role: You will have the opportunity to influence the future of crisis care, establishing a framework that will benefit the community for years to come.
- Community Engagement: Your leadership will extend beyond the center, as you educate stakeholders, build partnerships, and help set new benchmarks for care.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Chief Medical Officer and executive leadership to ensure that the culture and objectives of the TRC align with the overarching mission of our organization.
- Must be a board-certified physician, with a preference for those specializing in psychiatry or primary care.
- At least three (3) years of clinical experience is required, with formal leadership experience and/or training being advantageous.
