Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Certified Operating Room Technician in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This full-time position involves assisting in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients, maintaining aseptic techniques, and supporting surgical procedures within the operating room. The role emphasizes technical proficiency across various surgical specialties and adherence to safety and infection control standards.

Job Details:

• Shift: Days, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certified Operating Room Technician certification, BLS certification from AHA, high school diploma or equivalent, completion of Surgical Technology program or an accredited LVN/LPN program, 0+ years of experience preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience of 2 or more years in surgical assisting is preferred.
• Schedule: 5 Days, 8 Hours per day (total 10 hours shift)
• Additional Information: Performs a variety of technical duties to assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients, including skin preparation, maintaining sterile fields, and positioning patients. Establishes and maintains sterile environments, assists with instrument handling, and supports the surgical team during procedures. Ensures adherence to facility policies regarding decontamination, sterilization, and OR sanitation. Demonstrates proficiency in surgical supplies and equipment use, and provides patient-centered care tailored to individual needs.
