Quality Control Technician

Our client, a leading specialty bakery in the food manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join their team. As a Quality Control Technician, you will be an integral part of the Quality Assurance department supporting food safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Quality Control Technician

Location: Mount Vernon, NY

Pay Range: $26

Shift: 6am - 2:30pm, Monday through Friday

What's the Job?

• Perform daily QA walk-throughs and enforce cGMP policies within the facility.
• Monitor plant operations to ensure sanitary procedures are followed according to cGMPs.
• Conduct pre-operational and operational inspections to ensure food safety and quality.
• Inspect incoming raw materials, review Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and Certificates of Compliance (COCs).
• Verify batch formulas, product labels, and lot codes to ensure traceability and compliance with specifications.

What's Needed?

• Associate’s Degree in Biology, Food Technology, Food Science, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Data Entry Software.
• Minimum of two (2) years work-related experience in the food industry.
• Proficiency in HACCP, SSOPs, and GMPs.
• Strong leadership skills and excellent communication abilities.
