Commercial PlumberThis position will report to Nash Plumbing and Mechanical, LLC, a subsidiary of HB Global.Job SummaryCommercial construction skills and work as listed but not limited to: underground plumbing, above ground plumbing, fixture setting and plumbing trim work in commercial buildings.Essential FunctionsPerform appropriate communication with co-workers and customersOperating knowledge of plumbing systems and efficient use of trade toolsKnowledge and understanding of plumbing codes.Must provide all own hand tools.Knowledge of plumbing trade related toolsPromotes preventive maintenance of tools and equipmentKnowledge of the safe use of hazardous materials, solvents, cleaners, adhesivesAbility to perform math computations needed in the tradePersonal computer, tablet, and smart phone skillsExperience with Copper, Cast Iron, Black Iron, PVC, CPVC, and PEX piping.Ability to solder, braze, roll groove, thread, and pro-press pipe.Ability to layout piping and fixtures from prints.At times, lead other employees to complete task and achieve goals.Develop the skills of apprentices while working with them.Ability to read and interpret:BlueprintsDetail sheetsSketchesSchematicsAbility to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with peopleAlways conduct themselves in a professional mannerAbide by Nash Plumbing and Mechanical guidelines as set forth in the Company HandbookAbility to promote and follow building, job site and department procedures and policiesAbility to understand technical instructionsAbility to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment, and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administratorPerform work within OSHA guidelinesUtilize proper Lock Out/Tag Out proceduresPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsAbility to travel, as needed, for projects.Journeyman or master's Plumbing license is a plus but not requiredEquivalent technical school or work experienceThree or more years of experience specific to the commercial plumbing industryKnowledge and experience with some aspects of the HVAC side is a plus.
