Insurance Premium Auditor Location: Charlotte, NC | Salary: $50K - $60K/yr | Full-time, home‑based, travel required up to 60 miles 3–4 days a week. Job Description RLD Associates, Inc. has an opening for a full‑time, home‑based premium auditor. As a premium auditor, you will work independently in the field, meeting with various businesses to conduct insurance premium audits. The purpose of a premium audit is to review accounting records and conduct a thorough interview to validate the assignment of the insured’s business type and the associated premium. In this position, you will be responsible for the Charlotte, NC area. Responsibilities Review audit requests Prioritize inventory and schedule workload Contact named insureds to schedule appointments and travel to conduct on‑site interviews and examine records Research and apply appropriate manual rules and classifications to comply with insurance industry standards Prepare written audit reports that include data analysis, calculations, and classifications Qualifications Ability to work independently Dependable and self‑motivated Excellent communication skills Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel Pleasant, yet professional personality Two‑year degree in accounting or related subject preferred (bookkeeping and payroll experience and commercial insurance expertise considered) Reliable transportation when travel is necessary Benefits Excellent training program provided by RLD University Flexible schedule Support from experienced territory managers Competitive pay Company Information RLD Associates, Inc. is a leading service company to the insurance industry, providing premium audit, forensic accounting, and litigation support services to commercial insurance carriers.
