Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Physical Therapist who is passionate about making a difference in young lives. Beginning August 5th, 2026, and extending through May 28th, 2027, you will play a critical part in helping a 6th grade student reach their goals. This position offers 4-6 hours per week at one convenient school site near Durham, NC, with the possibility of increased hours as new student enrollments are finalized.

Qualifications and Skills Sought:

• Valid Physical Therapist license in the state of North Carolina
• Previous experience as a PT in education or pediatric settings preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and individualized goal-setting
• Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and other school-based professionals
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement tailored physical therapy interventions for a 6th grade student
• Conduct assessments to establish baseline performance and ongoing progress
• Collaborate with teachers and family members to support student participation and independence
• Attend relevant meetings and contribute to IEP development and review
• Maintain accurate records and provide clear, timely reports on student progress
• Adjust service plans as needed, based on student response and any new enrollments
