The security position will primarily be focused on providing Information System Security Officer (ISSO) support for local and networked systems while also providing local security support for other roles as needed. The position will interface with the office engineers, visitors, system administrators, security staff, program managers, and local vendors and inspectors. This position requires an individual with good communication skills and the ability to organize tasks and data in a logical manner.Come join the team that is creating cutting edge signal processing and geolocation systems for the future!What are the primary responsibilities in the Advanced DSP/Communications Engineer position?Work with the RRC Cybersecurity team to provide ISSO support to new and existing systemsEnsure accredited systems are operated, maintained, and updated according to security policies, controls, and documentationCreate and Maintain information assurance documentation including System Security Plans and Body of Evidence (BoE)Perform Continuous Monitoring and reporting of identified security controls including audit log reviews, system compliance assessments, vulnerability scans, and account activity for privileged and general users.Review and approve proposed changes to system baseline configurations, enforce standard configuration management practices, and perform updates to the SSP documentationWork closely with the Information System Security Manager through regular briefings, meetings, and discussions concerning information securityRecommend cybersecurity solutions to resolve system security requirements, program needs, mitigations, processes, and proceduresAssist with security awareness training, risk analysis, risk management, vulnerability management, investigations, incident response, and configuration management Perform Software & Hardware Evaluations Perform Data TransfersProvide Security Help Desk support to include: reviewing, approving, and assigning ticketsAssist in the application and enforcement of security policiesProvide local general support as needed to include: facilities, logistics, vendor coordination, and IT assistanceAssist in other areas of security support as needed including:Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) support Access Control Systems (ACS) supportSecurity Inspections and AssessmentsSecurity DocumentationEscorting personnel in secure areasSecurity briefings and trainingEnsure corporation is compliant with directives, regulations, company policy, and security operating procedures.Investigate security incidents and violations relating to classified programs.Assist with local Visitor Control and meeting supportCreate, scan, maintain, and organize security documentation, tracking, and database informationWhat required background will make you successful?1-3 years of ISSO and/or System Administration experienceExperience in Cybersecurity including assessments, accreditations, and continuous monitoring. Ability to interface with customers, programs, visitors, and engineersMust work well both independently and in a team environment with the ability to multitask in fast paced environment Must have a current favorably adjudicated T5 / T5R and eligibility for a TS//SCI clearance.Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD 8570 IAM Level 1 Certification or equivalentUS CITIZENSHIP REQUIREDPreferred skills:Knowledge and experience with Linux and Windows systems and commands.Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience working in Industrial SecurityActive DoD 8570 Certification (Security + or equivalent) Active TS/SCI security clearance with current SSBIDemonstrated knowledge and understanding of Risk Management Framework and ATO documentationExperience with Security tools such as Splunk, Nessus, and SCCExperience with NIST 800-53 and 800-171 security controlsExperience with system hardening using DISA STIGs Organizational skills, writing skills, communication skills, and an attention to detail Experience with Access Control and Intrusion Detection SystemsExperience with Customer Service, Help Desk, and Security SupportExperience collaborating with cross functional teams across the organizationExperience with Physical, Personnel, and/or Program SecurityStrong communication skills and attention to detailSkilled in problem solving and conflict resolutionOrganizational skills, writing skills, communication skills, and an attention to detail Where is the position located?This position is located at our Centennial, CO office.*The likely salary range for this position is $100,000 to $140,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
