You’ll drive quality, performance, and reliability through strong engineering practices and partner closely across product, design, and technology to ship outcomes at scale.Job responsibilitiesLead delivery across the team by coordinating engineers and driving execution in an agile environment to meet quality and timeline goalsDesign, build, and maintain responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces using React, JavaScript, and TypeScriptEstablish and uphold engineering best practices across the software development life cycle (SDLC), including code quality, testing, and release readinessEngineer and optimize Single Page Applications, focusing on page performance, user experience, and scalable front-end architectureImplement comprehensive testing strategies including unit, component, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure product quality and completenessCollaborate across product, design, and engineering partners to translate business needs into well-architected technical solutionsImprove development workflows by identifying and implementing enhancements to tooling, processes, and build pipelines (for example, Jenkins)Ensure solutions align with architecture standards and follow risk management and security expectationsLeverages enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity (e.g., code generation/refactoring, unit test creation, documentation), while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation.Required qualifications, capabilities and skillsFormal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience10+ years of experience delivering technology solutions, with 8+ years of web development experienceAdvanced proficiency in React, JavaScript, and TypeScript for building production web applications8+ years of experience with HTML5 and CSS, including strong fundamentals in modern web standardsDemonstrated experience with testing frameworks and approaches for UI applications (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, Selenium) across unit through end-to-end coverageStrong experience integrating with RESTful web services and building scalable client-side integrationsStrong understanding of software design patterns and paradigms, including object-oriented programming and functional programming concepts5+ years of experience with build pipelines and automation tooling (e.g., Jenkins or similar)Working knowledge of using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support software engineering workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.Ability to review and validate AI-assisted code and technical recommendations before use, escalating when uncertain and following security and data handling requirements.Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skillsExperience customizing CSS frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap) and using CSS preprocessors (e.g., Sass or Less)Experience with GraphQL services and front-end integration patternsDemonstrated use of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and/or Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practicesExperience with containerization and cloud-related technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon Web Services)Experience implementing Continuous Integration and/or Continuous Delivery practices for web platformsChase is a leading financial services firm, helping nearly half of America’s households and small businesses achieve their financial goals through a broad range of financial products.
