About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day and Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years minimum required License: Current nursing license required Certifications: BCLS required, CPI preferred Must-Have: - Experience with medical, surgical, medical telemetry, surgical telemetry, infusion, orthopedic, and neurosurgical patients - Ability to manage patient care in an acute care float pool setting - Proficiency in charting systems (EPIC required) - Skills in BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, and telemetry Description: This position involves working in an acute care float pool. Nurses will engage with diverse patient populations including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The nurse-to-patient ratio will be approximately 1:5. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. Candidates must be flexible to meet the unit's needs. Floating within the hospital is expected. This unit handles a variety of diagnoses and special procedures. Nurses will collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams. Skills in managing respiratory treatments and intravenous medications are crucial. Candidates should be prepared for potential low census situations. Unit specializations include orthopedics, neurosurgery, and oncology. All nurses are expected to comply with hospital protocols and patient care standards.
