Senior Tax Accountant

Role Description The Senior Tax Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in South Miami, FL. This role is responsible for preparing and reviewing complex federal, state, and local income tax filings and ensuring accuracy and compliance with current tax laws and regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting tax research, analyzing financial data, identifying tax-saving opportunities, and supporting tax planning strategies. The Senior Tax Accountant will also assist with tax audits and inquiries, maintain organized documentation, and collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to clarify tax issues and deadlines. Responsibilities Prepare and review workpapers supporting federal, state, and local income tax filings. Assist with sales and use tax, property tax, payroll tax, and other applicable compliance requirements. Reconcile tax accounts and support the quarterly and annual tax provision process. Gather, organize, and analyze financial information requested by external tax advisors and auditors. Research tax questions and summarize findings for management. Monitor filing deadlines, maintain tax calendars, and support timely payments and submissions. Help identify process improvements, documentation standards, and potential tax savings opportunities. Maintain organized, confidential tax files and supporting documentation. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting Approximately three years of relevant tax, public accounting, or corporate accounting experience.
