Talent Acquisition Specialist II

Role Description

Responsible for executing full life cycle recruiting activities and managing the candidate experience for several of our general building construction businesses.

  • Create and manage requisitions including assess job specification criteria, identify screening questions, and determine candidate interview approach.
  • Interview potential candidates as well as gather and consolidate feedback from interviews and complete interview elevation documentation.
  • Negotiate job offer details with candidates.
  • Partner with the HR Coordinator to deliver a seamless recruitment experience.

This is a remote position with up to 10% travel as needed. This position supports companies across the United States and Internationally. Must be able to work within business hours Monday-Friday between 7am-6pm of the applicable time zone. Preference given for the Eastern Time Zone.

Responsibilities

  • Open requisitions as requested by leadership and/or HR Business Partner.
  • Perform screening of applicants, assessment of their skill level/fit for roles and route appropriately.
  • Execute the full recruitment and hiring process from candidate sourcing, interview coordination, extending offer and requesting drug test and background screening.
  • Place, receive, and record employment related telephone calls, applications and resumes necessary to recruit and/or refer applicants to various job sites.
  • Responsible for initial interaction and serve as a representative to the brand and culture.
  • Schedule interviews and candidate travel, when necessary.
  • Actively participate in career fairs, sourcing events and projects.
  • Track and escalate issues (example – numerous candidates declining offer due to wage).
  • Partner with leadership and/or HR Business Partner to determine staffing needs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with passive candidates and referrals.
  • Implement sourcing strategies and create continuous candidate pipelines to top roles.
  • Network with past candidates periodically.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and prospective talent.
  • Evaluate hiring and interview processes and techniques, system improvements, and identify training opportunities where applicable.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand their business and recruitment needs.
  • Responsible for full life cycle recruiting process for identified roles across the organization for exempt and non-exempt positions.
  • Ensure hiring plans provide equal opportunities to all candidates (internal and external).
  • Manage candidates through the entire interview and hiring process.
  • Effectively utilize and maintain all pertinent applicant and interview documentation and data in applicant tracking system.
  • Develop recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of candidates.
  • Actively participate in all staffing-related activities and engage in cross-functional projects.
  • Assist in meeting affirmative action, equal opportunity, and diversity recruitment goals.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Essential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field location.
  • Understand and comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards, if applicable.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience is required with construction, engineering, energy, or blue collar related recruiting experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, for career fair and other recruiting efforts may be required.
  • Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety.
  • Exceptional prioritization and time management skills.
  • Experience with iCIMS, UKG and/or Service Now is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail while operating with a high sense of urgency.
  • Intermediate sourcing, interviewing, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience recruiting talent in competitive markets.
  • Decisive ability to shift priorities and function effectively in a dynamic fast paced work culture.
  • Ability to interact and build strong relationships with multiple levels of management.
  • Effectively communicate to multiple levels of the organization and internal HR team.
