Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Travel Respiratory Therapist Location: Arlington, Texas. Assignment: 13‑week travel assignment. Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team for this travel assignment. Job Summary A Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides advanced respiratory care to patients with complex pulmonary disorders and critical illnesses, independently assessing, treating, and managing a wide range of respiratory conditions. Required Qualifications One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (AHA/ARC). Other certifications and licenses may be required. Essential Work Functions Collaborate with physicians to develop patient treatment plans. Examine and interview patients with breathing and/or cardiopulmonary disorders. Perform diagnostic tests, such as measuring lung capacity or collecting blood/sputum samples. Treat patients through chest physiotherapy, aerosol medications, and other methods. Set up and monitor equipment to ensure the patient receives the correct amount of oxygen at the correct rate. Observe and record patient status and progress. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate patient care. Educate patients and/or family members on medication use and equipment. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of RRT practice. Essential Skills and Requirements Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication. Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills. Physical ability to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Effective working with a variety of personnel, maintaining a positive attitude and professionalism. Fine motor skills for manipulation and assistance with procedures or equipment. Mental resilience to cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work with or without close supervision, and maintain concentration during irregular schedules.
