Clinical Psychologist Full Time Professional HopeHealth - Irby, Florence, SC, US 30+ days ago Requisition ID: 1535 Overview of Position: To enhance the provision of behavioral health services in an integrated care model through innovative, systems-oriented, and evidenced-based interventions that target improved stability, quality of life, and excellent health outcomes for patients who require more intensive care and intervention due to persistent, chronic, and serious mental illness. This position will enhance the development of a multidisciplinary team approach that is committed to service excellence and comprehensive patient care. Through direct service, consultation, program development, and collaboration with providers across the HopeHealth system, this position will enable HopeHealth to better fulfill its mission and more effectively serve the community by working to eliminate behavioral health care gaps for HopeHealth patients, particularly those who struggle with more severe and persistent mental health difficulties, including a history of trauma. Qualifications: Doctoral degree in clinical psychology or closely related discipline (e.g., Health Psychology). Completion of APA-accredited predoctoral internship. Licensed or license-eligible in South Carolina per requirements set forth by the SC Board of Examiners in Psychology. Multicultural competency in working with minority populations, including the medically and socially underserved, is required. Knowledge/Skills: Must possess a demonstrated ability to be a flexible and resilient team player and must exhibit initiative. Essential Job Functions Direct Service About 3.5 to 4 days per week (75%) will be spent in direct service provision to patients, including psychological testing/diagnostic clarification; psychotherapy and intervention across a variety of modalities (individual, family, group); and multi-disciplinary team facilitation and development, ideally to include both patient and treatment team for collaboration in care planning. Provide intensive assessment and psychotherapy to high-risk patients who require specialized training and expertise. Utilize effective, evidence-based treatment approaches, such as cognitive behavioral approaches, dialectical behavior therapy, short-term crisis intervention, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing. Provide consultation services as requested and approved by supervisory staff. Advocate for patients’ best interests. May be required to provide testimony in court and prepare court reports in accordance with the confidentiality requirements of the state, agency, and federal statutes. Maintain appropriate records, progress notes, treatment plans, assessment forms, and billing records for all encounters. Documentation of assessment and service delivery to be completed in the electronic health record within 24 hours of service delivery. Maintain networking relationship with community services providers, representing the behavioral health program. Attend trainings, in‑services and community meetings to assure professional growth and provide for coordination of services within the community. Uphold confidentiality regarding privileged administrative and patient information in a professional manner. Adhere to ethical standards of the field and all relevant guidelines and legal regulations. Program Services About 1 to 1.5 days per week (25%) will be spent in service activities that complement and promote behavioral health services within the HopeHealth system. Provide consultant services within the HH system, to include training and program development. Collaborate with the BH Director regarding implementation and oversight of programs to include the development of an APA accredited internship, and services that target special populations such as Veterans, trauma‑victims, and patients with serious and persistent mental illness. Participate in program evaluation related to effectiveness, outcomes, and innovative approaches to care. Serve as a point‑of‑contact for counselors and BHCs within HopeHealth who may need case consultation or practice consultation, thereby leading to improved professional practices by Behavioral Health team members. Uphold and promote HopeHealth’s Mission, Vision, and Values, including but not limited to professional conduct, team development, staff accountability, and participation in activities that endorse and ensure this culture. Support and participate in partnerships with other organizations that assist in the delivery and access of HopeHealth’s Behavioral Health services, training of Behavioral Health professionals, and the integration of our services in the local behavioral health network. Utilize the chain‑of‑command for communication, decision making, and conflict resolution. Strive to problem‑solve based on policy, at the most local level of leadership possible, thereby promoting team and leadership development and demonstrating shared responsibility for quality and quantity of work and quality of work environment. Attend meetings, including provider meetings, staff meetings, Behavioral Health meetings, team huddles, and others as requested by supervisor or HopeHealth leadership. Participate in relevant trainings, as needed. Participate in Performance Improvement Activities as assigned. Perform other duties incidental to the work described herein as assigned, including coordinating with other community agencies and programs and participating in departmental outreach and development activities. Responsible for understanding and following established safety policies and procedures. Responsible for understanding and participating in all aspects of the Corporate Compliance Program. Build a positive work environment by working cooperatively within department and with other areas through teamwork, interpersonal skills, and personal improvement/initiative. Daily duties will be scheduled by the Director of Behavioral Health. Desired changes or scheduled leave will be provided for supervisor review and approval. Interact with referring providers and offer education and support to the community. May be required to work alternate hours to meet the highest level of customer service to internal and external customers. Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor. Physical Requirements: Hearing: Adequate to perform job duties in person and over the telephone. Speaking: Must be able to communicate clearly to patients in person and over the telephone. Vision: Visual acuity adequately to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens. Other: Requires occasional lifting and carrying items weighing up to 10 pounds unassisted in normal daily activities and up to 30 lbs. for other required work activities. Additionally, requires frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements (especially if keyboarding and writing), standing, walking, squatting, and sitting, with some lifting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular work shift. #J-18808-Ljbffr
