Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Yard Jockey to move trailers and equipment throughout the facility yard and between loading docks. The Yard Jockey is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of trailers, supporting shipping and receiving operations, and maintaining a safe working environment.

• Move and position trailers at loading docks, staging areas, and designated yard locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tractors and trailers.
• Verify trailer numbers, seal numbers, and paperwork for accuracy.
• Coordinate with warehouse, shipping, and transportation teams to support loading and unloading operations.
• Monitor yard traffic and ensure safe movement of equipment.
• Report equipment damage, maintenance concerns, and safety hazards.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of trailer movements.
• Follow all company policies, DOT regulations, and safety procedures.

• Valid CDL Class A driver's license preferred.
• Previous experience operating yard tractors, spotter trucks, or commercial vehicles preferred.
• Strong understanding of yard safety procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed.

This is a Permanent position based out of Bayonne, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Bayonne,NJ.
