The IRC opened an office in Phoenix, Arizona in 1994 to provide reception and placement services to newly arrived refugees. The office resettles refugees and provides numerous program services to assist refugees from their arrival through citizenship.
Job Overview
The Workforce Project Manager coordinates the development, implementation, and completion of all activities related to a new workforce initiative based in Phoenix. This role will oversee the integration of workforce development services across system partners and ensure high-quality, client-centered service delivery that aligns with federal and local standards. Responsibilities include supervision of department staff to ensure program compliance.

Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (social work, public administration, workforce development, social services, or similar).
Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in workforce development, program management, or human services leadership.

- Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills combined with the proven ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written; proficiency in language(s) spoken by client group is desired.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to use the internet and other digital tools for data entry, research, and problem-solving purposes.
- Valid driver's license and access to a personal, insured vehicle.
- Proven experience supervising staff and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and inclusion.
- Excellent organizational and data management skills to ensure compliance and performance outcomes.
- Passion for equity, inclusion, and economic mobility for historically marginalized communities and experience working with targeted populations.
Working Environment:
A combination of standard office environment, remote work, and 'field' time within the service delivery area to perform the above outlined responsibilities. Standard work week with occasional evenings or weekends for community events or partner meetings. Travel within Maricopa County for partner site visits and events. Occasional domestic (non-local) travel required; up to 10%. May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
Compensation:
Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
