Position Tittle: Production Lead

Working Hours: 5 AM to 2:30 PM (OT as Needed) 
***9/80 Work Schedule***
Working Days: Monday - Friday (Saturday's as needed) 

Pay Rate: $27.50/Hr. to $28.50/Hr. (DOE)
Production Lead – Job DescriptionPURPOSE

Supports the Production Supervisor with daily production operations, employee scheduling, training, and workflow management. Ensures quality standards, production targets, and company policies are met. Provides hands-on production support and oversees the department in the Supervisor’s absence.

EDUCATION

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum two years of supervisory or lead experience in a high-volume production and testing environment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Leadership, employee training, and team development.
• Problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Production planning, scheduling, and workload management.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and high-volume production.
• Computer proficiency and mechanical measurement skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively.
• Lean/Six Sigma Leader certification preferred.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Schedule, direct, train, and motivate production employees.
• Monitor production flow, quality, and daily performance targets.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and 6S standards.
• Adjust staffing, materials, and machine operations to meet production needs.
• Identify process improvements and support problem-solving efforts.
• Conduct employee training and maintain required documentation.
• Perform hands-on production work and fill in for absent employees as needed.
• Assist with inventory, shipping/receiving, packaging, and facility maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment; coordinate major repairs with Maintenance.
• Inspect products, verify specifications, and recalibrate test equipment as needed.
• Support the Production Supervisor and oversee operations in their absence, excluding progressive discipline and terminations.
• Perform other assigned duties and adjust schedules as needed to meet critical deadlines.

SUPERVISION

Assists the Production Supervisor with daily operations, employee scheduling, training, and performance management.

CONTACT WITH OTHERS

• Internal: Daily interaction with all company departments.
• External: Occasional interaction with outside contacts.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Requires occasional standing, walking, sitting, bending, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs, and handling tools or equipment. Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Requires adequate vision, hearing, communication, comprehension, and numerical reasoning skills.
