Sales Engineer

Role Description The Sales Engineer develops optimized quotes to support our direct customers. In collaboration with the Territory Manager, this role provides pricing recommendations and clear cost explanations to support customer negotiations. The Sales Engineer also selects the most appropriate manufacturing location based on delivery requirements and production feasibility. 

Key Responsibilities

• Establish pricing and delivery for their customer base (territory)
• Deliver and follow-up on quotes
• Order entry for business within territory
• Capture demand (sales) and handle post sale follow-up
• Deliver information to the Territory Manager responsible on quotes and related activity. Collaborate on opportunity management.
• Maintain and grow customer relationships at mostly the fabricator level
• Optimize cost and delivery through leveraging global manufacturing and global supply chain
• Resolve discrepancies with specifications by working with Contract Management, Engineering & Quality

Qualifications

• A technical bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred with minimum of 1 year of experience in a sales environment, offering custom technical manufacturing services or solutions.
• Basic knowledge of metal processing techniques, including welding and forming, as well as destructive testing (DT) and non-destructive testing (NDT) is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of commercial contract management, incoterms, legal basics is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Fluency in English required. 
• Ability to manage a high degree of customer contact. Strong social skills.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions 

• Work conducted primarily in a typical office environment. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• Required to travel as much as 10-15% of the time.
• Ability to lift up to 20-lb clad samples.

Salary Range

• $80,000 - $90,000 per year
• Bonus Potential of 10%
