BLS State Radiologic Technologist Licensure ARRT License Job Details

The Radiologic Technologist provides expedited care by performing X-ray exams as ordered by MGB Urgent Care providers. Assists with front office activities including patient registration and payment processing. Performs back office clinical duties such as patient triage, specimen collection, and assisting with minor surgical procedures. Prepares radiology suite and equipment, follows protocols for adult and pediatric X-ray studies, and documents appropriately in the EMR. Monitors receipt of X-ray images and availability of results. Assists with training new employees and performs other assigned duties. Job Requirements

Associate’s degree from an accredited college required. Current state licensure as a radiologic technologist required. CPR/BLS certification required. ARRT license required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume urgent care center or emergency room preferred. Outstanding bedside manner with both pediatric and adult patients. Strong commitment to exceptional patient care and customer service. Excellent organizational and record keeping skills. Ability to communicate effectively, balance multiple tasks, set priorities, and solve problems independently. Fluency in English required. Technology proficiency including EMR experience; prior experience with EPIC preferred. Schedule Information

Contract length is 13 weeks. Additional Details

Documentation of two measles vaccines, two mumps vaccines, and one rubella vaccine or two MMR vaccines required or proof of immunity via blood test. TB skin test screening within 3 months of start date and updated if >6 month break required. Physician health statement within 365 days of start date and updated if >6 month break required. MGB Criminal Background Check within 45 days prior to start date and updated if >6 month break required. MGB Resume including past 7 years of work experience required for submission. 2 references within 4 years of submission required, minimum 1 supervisor or above. MGB Skills Checklist must be completed within 1 year of submission. MGB Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form required for all initial assignments and extensions. MGB Education Verification through background check company required. MGB SSN Trace must be run with criminal check. MGB National Sex Offender Check ran within 30 days of start and updated annually. MGB Exclusion Checks ran within 30 days of start and annually. MGB New Hampshire State Checks ran within 30 days prior to start date and updated if >30 day break.
