Driver

Job Description

As a Driver, you'll spend the majority of your day behind the wheel navigating the DFW metroplex in heavy traffic conditions, delivering and picking up product across the region. You'll be responsible for loading and unloading product at each stop, matching packing slips to delivery and pickup product to ensure accuracy, and making sure all merchandise is safely and securely stored in the truck for transport. Throughout the day, you'll inspect product integrity and quality before it reaches the customer, handle all merchandise with proper care, and maintain a clean work environment both inside and outside of your assigned vehicle. You'll stay in consistent communication with your supervisor throughout the day - providing updates on routes, flagging any maintenance needs on your vehicle, and ensuring the day runs smoothly. Expect to work in a fast-paced environment that includes 6-8 hours of sitting and driving, lifting up to 50 pounds, and walking, climbing, kneeling, bending, and crouching while holding material. You'll be working in all weather conditions (hot and cold) and around industrial equipment in a warehouse setting.

Skills and Requirements

• High school diploma or GED

• Clean and acceptable driving record (must be able to meet and maintain)

• Experience pulling a trailer

• Ability to follow directions and safety guidelines

• Comfortable driving in heavy/dangerous traffic conditions throughout the DFW metroplex

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (walking, climbing, kneeling, bending, crouching)

• Strong communication skills and ability to work under supervisor authority

• Hard-working, alert, and detail-oriented

• Positive attitude and ability to work in hot or cold weather conditions - Previous warehouse experience

• Experience working with or around industrial equipment

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a team

• Self-starter mentality with confidence in decision-making

• Basic math skills and ability to interpret data

• Ability to prioritize and work well under pressure
