Real Estate Junior Analyst – Novogradac & Company LLP, Bethesda, MD. Position Summary The Real Estate Junior Analyst performs multifamily real estate market research and analysis for the Government Consulting and Valuation Advisory (GoVal) department. Responsibilities include collecting and consolidating data, assisting in market analysis, and evaluating economic trends in designated regions. The analyst reports to a designated Manager on the GoVal team. Responsibilities Gather, analyze, and interpret basic economic, demographic information and multifamily rental market trends. Interview apartment property managers of market/LIHTC/subsidized apartment properties to obtain property‑specific information and general multifamily market conditions. Obtain information on new multifamily developments and locate subsidized, tax‑credit, and market‑rate apartment rental comparables by speaking with developers and conducting online research. Interview local housing authorities, planners, senior centers, and chambers of commerce to identify problems and understand demand in the real estate market. Assist in writing multifamily rental market feasibility studies and appraisals of proposed and existing real estate developments. Request information from appraisers/brokers on multifamily sales and land sale comparables. Assist with other duties, projects, or manager requests as assigned. Complete Novogradac's Affordable Housing Training & Assessment Program within the first 90 days of employment. Background and Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable speaking with individuals over the phone and synthesizing information in written narrative form. Strong analytical skills, including the ability to gather data, conduct analyses, and present findings. Solid organizational and follow‑through skills, performing work accurately with strong attention to detail. Ability to meet deadlines and effectively prioritize a fast‑paced, varied workload, managing multiple concurrent and shifting priorities. Strong computer skills, including advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency. Available for domestic travel as needed, including driving to designated sites for in‑person visits. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related area plus 1‑3 years of real estate research and market analysis experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Multifamily appraisal experience is a plus. Compensation $52,000 to $58,000 depending on experience, with potential for upward adjustment based on experience. Competitive salaries with continuous review of market conditions.
