Operating Room Nurse

The Operating Room Nurse is a registered nurse who provides services as a member of the operating room team. This role contributes to the overall care of the patient before, during, and after surgery. Duties include technical and mechanical functions as well as functioning in unusual situations. The nurse utilizes expert knowledge and professional judgment in assessing problems. Significant nursing action is then implemented based on the assessment. Experience is preferred in general, orthopedic, urology, gynecology, C-sections, eyes, vascular, dental, and ENT procedures. The average daily census is around 20-25 patients. Candidates will need to be flexible with scheduling as blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed. Call requirements include 1 day a week and 1 call weekend a month.
