Housekeeper - Full-time

Full-Time Live-Out HousekeeperA family moving to Irvington, NY, is seeking a full-time live-out housekeeper to join their family. They are currently living in Armonk, NY, but relocating soon to a newly built home in Irvington, NY. This is commutable by train from NYC. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 11am-8pm. This is 45 hours per week. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes genuine pride in their work, treats the home and its contents with the utmost care, and can work independently while following the household's established standards and routines. They are looking for someone who can start by mid-September, if not sooner.ResponsibilitiesMaintain the highest standard of cleanliness throughout the homeHandle all belongings, furnishings, furniture, and decor with exceptional care, including fine artDevelop a proposed cleaning schedule (daily, weekly, and monthly tasks) for the employer's review and approval, and maintain it consistently once approvedProactively identify and address areas that need attention, rather than waiting to be askedComplete weekly grocery shopping, including selecting seasonal, high-quality fruits and vegetablesPrepare simple, wholesome dinners for the family (typically for three, occasionally for four)Manage all laundry, including clothing, bedding, and towelsMonitor and replenish household supplies as neededMeticulousHighly professionalRequirementsMust be legal to work in the USComfortable cooking simple family-style mealsPrior experience working in a high-end, luxury residence, with demonstrated care around fine art, high-value furnishings, and finishesKnowledge of seasonal produce and grocery selectionExcellent laundry and garment care skillsHighly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work methodically and systematicallyComfortable working independently and taking initiativePolished, professional appearance and demeanorStrong communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructionsTrustworthy, discreet, and reliableSalary and BenefitsThe family is offering $135,000 annual salary.
