About the School Independence Preparatory Academy is a new, academically challenging, highly structured K-8 school in Fairfield, AL. Our mission is to equip students with the academic tenacity and strength of character necessary to choose their destiny and create a fulfilling life. Since opening in August 2025, we have served 60 kindergarten‑through‑second‑grade students and plan to grow to a capacity of 485 students through eighth grade. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and at least 1–2+ years of teaching experience (Alabama certification preferred) with a proven record of extraordinary student growth. Bachelor’s degree with GPA of 3.0 or higher and a desire for growth in a feedback‑driven, supportive environment. Collaboration: Works effectively with other adults and families. Responsibilities Drive at least 1 year of academic growth for all scholars through standards‑aligned, data‑driven instruction. Use weekly mastery data and exit tickets to adjust instruction in real time. Implement Science of Reading‑aligned literacy practices with fidelity.
