We're standing up a brand-new site to support a newly awarded county contract, and we're looking for CDL Class B Truck Drivers to join the team from the ground up. As a CDL Class B Truck Driver, you will operate a waste hauling truck to provide trash and recycling pickup for residential or commercial customers within approximately 150 miles of your home. You will lift and carry waste and recycling materials and deposit them into a compactor throughout your route. The ideal candidate stays attentive to safety, reports any defects, accidents, or violations, and is energized by the chance to help launch a brand-new operation rather than join one that's already up and running. Responsibilities

• Safely operates a waste hauling truck.
• Completes daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Complies with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, break periods, etc.) as well as company policies and procedures.
• Maneuvers trucks into loading or unloading positions.
• Lifts and carries waste and recycling materials and deposits them into a compactor.
• Inspects vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and reports preventative maintenance needs to the management team.
• Reports any defects, accidents, or violations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class B driving experience required.
• CDL Class A or B required.
• No more than one moving violation on MVR within the last 3 years.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Regularly operates a commercial vehicle.
• Frequently lifts and carries waste and recycling materials and deposits them into a compactor throughout the shift.
• Regular entering, exiting, and maneuvering of the truck for loading and unloading.
• Work is performed on the road in varying weather conditions.
• Schedule is home daily, Monday through Friday, with shifts typically running 10-12 hours; additional hours may be needed based on business needs.
