Dining Room Server, Full/Part-Time

Dining Room Servers WantedWilliamsburg Landing, a CARF-accredited Life Plan Community, seeks Full and Part-Time Dining Room Servers to join our Dining Services Team. Dining Room Servers ensure Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Health & Rehabilitation Center dining facilities are prepared for meal service, clear and reset tables, and perform routine and specialized cleaning, as directed. Working under the supervision of the Dining Room management, Dining Room Servers also assist in set-up and service for special functions.Candidate should have the ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evening and weekend shifts.Starting rate of pay is $16.50/hourEssential Job FunctionsEnsures tables are properly set including clean linens, glassware and silverware free of water spots, and availability of condimentsGreets residents and their guests, providing assistance with canes, walkers, and wheelchairs upon entrance to dining areasProperly presents menus and wine lists, accurately describing entrees and Chef's specials; takes orders and promptly serves them, following proper service sequence and monitoring resident/guest needs during meals; ensures special dietary requirements are metUtilizes serving equipment properly, follows safety procedures with equipment, and leaves equipment in proper working orderReports concerns related to changes in residents' dining habits, deteriorating self-care, and/or conversations indicating unhappiness or lonelinessMaintains clean uniforms and arrives on time for every shift clean and in accordance with health code standards; maintains infection control standards including proper hand washingPerforms other duties as assignedQualificationsMust meet employment eligibility requirements and Health Department standardsFood Handler's Card must be obtained within 30 days of employmentFood service experience, preferredKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsAbility to regularly and safely lift and carry a minimum of 30 poundsAbility to maintain courtesy and tact during stressful situationsAbility to react appropriately in emergency situationsBenefits (Part Time)403(b) Retirement Plan529 College Savings PlanHoliday PayCorporate Wellness ProgramHealth Club & Spa MembershipEmployee Education & Training FundCredit Union Membership Williamsburg Landing
