Travel OR RN (Operating Room Registered Nurse)

Location: New York
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 8-Hour Days (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Schedule: Weekends, Holidays, and On-Call Required
Radius Rule: Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler.

Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Active New York State RN License (in hand)
BLS Certification required
ACLS Certification preferred
Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience
Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room and Ambulatory Surgery Unit (ASU)
Maintain a safe and sterile surgical environment
Perform patient assessments and develop appropriate care plans
Monitor patient conditions and respond to clinical needs
Interpret lethal dysrhythmias and respond appropriately
Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams
Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
Utilize clinical equipment and instrumentation safely and effectively
Assist with patient transfers using proper lifting and safety techniques
May be required to function as Charge Nurse when needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous preceptor, charge nurse, or leadership experience
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced and high-stress environments
On-Call Requirement:
On-call participation is required
Must be able to respond and report to the facility within 30 minutes when called in
