Registered Nurse (RN) ICU

Location and Schedule Lebanon, KY – Part‑time, 24 hours per week, 7PM to 7AM, Saturday & Sunday. About the ICU The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Spring View Hospital is a 7‑bed unit dedicated to providing specialized care to critically ill patients. Responsibilities Demonstrate professional development and clinical competency using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments. Document patient care provided. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family. Assist patients with activities of daily living (personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation). Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate care (transfer, discharge, referral, spiritual/psychosocial support). Evaluate learning needs of patients and/or families and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient. Float to other departments as needed to maintain safe nurse‑to‑patient ratios. Manage ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, and Vapotherm devices. Titrate and maintain critical drips on ICU patients, including knowledge of indications, contraindications, and side effects. Pass a rhythm recognition test within 90 days of hire or transfer. Qualifications RN license required. Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire. ACLS and PALS certification within 12 months of hire. One year of nursing experience preferred. Handle With Care certification earned within 30 days of orientation and renewed annually.
