Night shifts of 12 hours are required. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience. Previous charge experience is required. The unit accepts first-time travelers. The typical patient ratio on nights is 4-5 patients. Experience with Epic charting system is preferred. The emergency room treats patients of all ages, including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily visits in the emergency room average around 80. The unit is equipped to handle a variety of diagnoses, including respiratory, gastrointestinal, cardiac, neurological, minor trauma, and obstetric emergencies. Staffing includes interdisciplinary support from various services. Nurses will be required to float to similar units as necessary. Compliance requirements include quick onboarding for essential labs. Travelers will receive an orientation on the unit upon starting. Modules are part of the training and will be conducted on-site. Each training session will be recorded for future reference.
