The Opportunity

Our client, a government agency in Tallahassee, FL, is seeking a Senior ETL Developer to support its Data Services team. This role focuses on managing and modernizing enterprise data integration environments, with an emphasis on Snowflake cloud warehousing and Informatica IDMC/PowerCenter. The successful candidate will translate business requirements into scalable data solutions, optimize ETL/ELT performance, and ensure data integrity across platforms.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Gather and analyze business information needs, prepare system requirements.
• Design, develop, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Informatica IDMC and PowerCenter.
• Administer Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse, including performance tuning and data modeling.
• Support real-time and batch data flows across multiple environments.
• Implement and maintain connectors (CDC, PowerExchange, ServiceNow, relational).
• Review and validate data for accuracy and integrity.
• Build prototypes, test scripts, and conduct QA for Snowflake data population.
• Provide technical consulting and reporting solutions using Power BI and Cognos.
• Support legacy mainframe analysis (COBOL, JCL, DB2) as needed.
• Contribute to methods, practices, and technical documentation.
• Mentor peers and advise business stakeholders on best practices.

Compensation and Term 

This opportunity is for a full-time, contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $140,000  per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.

Qualifications you need

A successful candidate has the following experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems. Equivalent work experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis.
• 7+ years IT experience with data management, BI tools, and data warehousing.
• Strong experience with Informatica IDMC (administration, development, performance tuning).
• Expertise in Snowflake administration, optimization, and data modeling.
• Proficiency with Informatica PowerCenter, Data Quality, and Data Catalog.
• Experience with Power BI and Cognos report/dashboard development.
• Hands-on with RedHat Linux administration (security patching, scripts, file systems).
• Experience with IDMC connectors (CDC, PowerExchange, ServiceNow).
• Working knowledge of relational DBs (DB2, SQL Server, Oracle).
• Familiarity with mainframe COBOL, JCL, DB2 analysis.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
