Courier/DOT

Responsibilities Driver / operator of company vehicles. Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick‑up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx services and provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Education High school diploma or GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to lift 50 lbs. and maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance as customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations; medical exam required. Non‑covered safety‑sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and respond to official inquiries. Preferred Qualifications None specified beyond the above qualifications. Pay and Benefits Pay: $21.05 per hour. Full‑time position. Schedule: Thursday through Monday 7:45 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Desired location: Knoxville, TN. Employees will be required to work at the FedEx location five days a week.
