Food Service Assistant - PT Straight Weekends

Long Term Care (LTC) Food Service Assistant (FSA) – Position Summary Work Shift: Varies (United States of America). Scheduled Weekly Hours: 24. Compensation: Salary Range: $15.00–$22.50 per hour. Sign-On Bonus: $500 available. Union Position: No. Responsibilities Monitor and record proper food temperature. Set up and maintain a clean and sanitized serving area. Prepare and serve food items. Restock food areas. Clean and sanitize equipment. Receive payment for food and beverages using a computerized register. Comply with Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines. Provide outstanding customer service and effective communication with patrons and co-workers. Establish effective working relationships. Maintain quality control standards. Operate equipment such as grills, beverage machines, toasters, ice cream dispensers, cash registers, steam equipment, dishwashers, telephones, refrigerators, and freezers. Qualifications Minimum age of 16 years. Previous customer service experience, retail counting and reconciliation of money, and knowledge of food service (preferred). Ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions. Basic math skills. Possesses the ability to work independently when necessary. Understanding of food safety and sanitation processes. Ability to be on feet for the majority of the day and walk far distances. On‑job training will be provided. ServSafe certification may be required within a designated time frame, depending on location. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required, depending on location.
