Job Summary:
We seek a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse specializing in ICU to provide skilled nursing care, patient assessments, medication administration, and treatment planning in an acute care hospital setting. The Registered Nurse will collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team to manage critically ill patients, ensuring high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. At least 2 years of relevant experience is required, with certifications in ACLS and BLS.
Responsibilities:
We seek a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse specializing in ICU to provide skilled nursing care, patient assessments, medication administration, and treatment planning in an acute care hospital setting. The Registered Nurse will collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team to manage critically ill patients, ensuring high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. At least 2 years of relevant experience is required, with certifications in ACLS and BLS.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
- Provide critical care nursing to patients in the ICU setting.
- Document patient care activities accurately using Epic electronic medical records.
- Float between like units as needed to support staffing requirements.
- Assist with emergency interventions and trauma care as required.
- Participate in weekend shifts on an every-other-week basis.
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in ICU or trauma care.
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Experience with Epic electronic medical record system preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Experience in trauma or critical care environments.
- Ability to work with complex patient populations and advanced medical equipment.
- Flexibility to float between similar units as needed.
- Weekend work required every other week.
- No on-call responsibilities.
- Must be able to float between like units.
- Facility uses Epic for charting.
- Free parking available.
- RTO (Return to Office) policies must be included at time of submission.
- Block scheduling may be accommodated.
- Shifts include weekend rotations every other week.
- Facility guarantees hours but may call off once per two-week pay period.
