Registered Nurse RN Med Imaging IR

Location: Banner Estrella Medical Center, 9201 W Thomas Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85037 Schedule: 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, 4 days per week, 10‑hour shifts on weekdays with variable days; weekend and holiday call begins Friday after shift to Monday start of shift. Position Summary This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards. It is responsible for the quality of nursing services delivered by the individual and by staff under their direction, using specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan and provide and evaluate care appropriate to each patient’s physical and developmental age. Core Functions Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs, reviews history and physical with patient/family, and ensures completion within appropriate timeframes. Formulates a plan of care, including the discharge plan, using assessment data and input from patient, family, and health team. Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of the health care team. Evaluates patient and family response to care and teaching, and revises the plan of care as needed. Documents assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record, ensuring legible and timely documentation that reflects objective and subjective data, interventions, and patient responses. Provides care based on best evidence, participates in research activities within clinical practice, and engages in shared leadership and education of facility personnel, patients, families, and visitors. Contributes to society through activities that lead to excellent patient outcomes, and actively participates in improvement of national nursing quality indicators and outcomes. Supervises staff and workflow of the department as required. Interacts with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, families, and external contacts, including community providers and agencies, to coordinate patient care and provide spiritual support when needed. Minimum Qualifications Must possess a current, valid RN license in the state of practice, temporary/interim RN license, or compact RN licensure. BLS certification is required. Additional certifications or continuing education may be required based on area of practice. Experience in an acute care hospital setting, including a recent 12‑month period as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area, is required. Candidates for Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions must have at least one year of acute care experience. Candidates for home health must be able to operate a personal vehicle, possess a valid driver’s license, and maintain active auto insurance. Specific fingerprint clearance card and criminal history affidavit requirements apply to certain behavioral health roles. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred.
