Seeking a Commercial Roofing Estimator to join our team in Santa Fe Springs, CA. This is a full-time, on-site position responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial roofing projects.
Location: Santa Fe Springs, CA
Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site
Salary: $65,000-$75,000+ annually, depending on experience
About the Role
We are seeking a Commercial Roofing Estimator to join our team in Santa Fe Springs, CA. This is a full-time, on-site position responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial roofing projects.
The ideal candidate will have experience with commercial roofing estimating, a solid understanding of roofing materials and construction methods, and the ability to analyze project plans and develop accurate labor and material costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed estimates for commercial roofing projects.
- Review project plans, specifications, drawings, and scopes of work.
- Calculate material quantities, labor requirements, equipment, and project costs.
- Develop accurate bids and proposals within project deadlines.
- Research material and subcontractor pricing as needed.
- Evaluate project requirements and identify potential cost issues or discrepancies.
- Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, customers, and internal teams regarding project estimates.
- Assist with bid negotiations and scope clarification.
- Maintain accurate estimating records and project documentation.
- Use Bluebeam and other estimating tools to review drawings and prepare takeoffs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial roofing estimating is required.
- No specific minimum number of years of experience is required; relevant commercial roofing estimating experience is the priority.
- Strong knowledge of commercial roofing materials, systems, and construction techniques.
- Ability to perform accurate material takeoffs and cost calculations.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Bluebeam proficiency is required.
- Proficiency with estimating software and other relevant computer tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines.
