License: Required ARDMS registry

Must-Have:
- Anatomy scans & OB/GYN scans (pelvic and transvaginal)
- Experience in general and vascular ultrasound except for ABIs and segmental pressure


Description:
In this position, the Sonographer performs ultrasound procedures to obtain desired imaging results according to physician specifications.
Responsibilities include transferring patients for examinations and assisting with the ultrasound examination process.
The Sonographer is responsible for the appropriate operation of all ultrasound imaging and related equipment.
Educating, positioning, immobilizing, and performing ultrasound procedures is essential.
Coordinating ultrasound examinations ensures timeliness, quality, and continuity of patient care.
The Sonographer must understand and follow provider imaging orders correctly.
Submissions of required images and related clinical information to the Radiologist for interpretation are necessary.
Image quality evaluation is an important aspect of this role.
Open, accurate, and responsive communication with patients, coworkers, Radiologists, and leadership is required.
The Sonographer will appropriately utilize, charge, and maintain department supplies.
Practicing sterile technique and following infection prevention policies is crucial.
The ability to handle multiple tasks/projects and meet deadlines is expected.
Safe performance of ultrasound procedures, including patient transfer, is required.
